We had Maddie's 2 year appointment yesterday and everything looked good OTHER than the fact that she has a raging ear infection! I guess that explains the fever the other night, her waking up in the middle of the night and her telling me her ear hurts! DUH! Definitely not one of my better Mommy instincts! She's just SOOO dramatic and always telling me something hurts or she's scared or cold, etc.....! It's hard to know when she just wants attention!
Other than that she is doing great! The nurse told me she couldn't believe she was already two years old and immediately after that she refused to stand on the scale to be weighed. She threw a HUGE tantrum and we ended up having to put her on the baby scale and hold her down! Afterwards I asked the nurse if she now believed she was 2 - ha!
Her stats are as follows:
weight: 27.8 lbs (65%)
height: 35 1/2 inches (89%)
head: (92%) - whoo-hoo - another time on the charts :)
I've been working on counting with Maddie and she has been refusing to cooperate! The other night Johnny was sitting at the table eating dinner with her and all the sudden she started counting things on the table and got to 10! YAY! Maybe she is listening to me after all! Now she's obsessed with counting everything! She does a great job until she gets to 10 - after that every thing is "10,10,10,10"! Maybe it's time to start working on 11-20!
